The Rhythm Of Life

We all have our way of moving through our world on a daily basis. Whether in a personal relationship, our extra curricular activities or in our professional life. We have a pace. A cadence that works best for us.

It certainly doesn’t hurt to find out what other people you admire do. But, we must not feel we have to copy their meter because it works for them. We intrinsically know what it takes for us to fall into the groove and eventually move mountains. We just have to trust our instincts.

Patience helps when ultimately landing on a method of gladness that works for us. So, let’s remember it’s a marathon and not a sprint as we refine our process.

We can always remain open to new ideas and approaches in order to be more effective. And an open mind and willingness to change can’t hurt.

Go get it! At your rhythm.

Begin Again

When we feel we’ve hit a dead end with our most recent endeavor, then begin again.

If we’re disappointed with ourselves because we haven’t stuck with our workout schedule, then begin again.

When we’ve behaved like a cranky 10 year old boy with someone you love, forgive yourself and begin again.

Just like a meditation, we’re always going to lose our focus. It’s not a matter of “if,” it’s a matter of “when.” What’s most important is that we start fresh with a new perspective and begin again.

If we choose, we can move forward with a fresh start, the newly acquired knowledge and begin again.

Ask And Listen

If I’m going to continue to evolve as a human being in all different facets of my life, I know one of the keys is to listen. To ask more questions and listen.

It’s not talking. This is for sure.

The wise ones ask questions. They keep their mouths closed and pay attention. They soak in the information. They remain present and listen.

What they don’t do is steer the conversation where they want it to go in order to wind up and deliver their limited knowledge as if it’s the answer to everyone’s prayers.

They remain still. Quiet. And they listen.

This is the path I choose.

Welcome The Chaos

The older I get, the less patience I have for chaos in my surroundings. However, I have become more patient in the sense of allowing the process of life to unfold before me without getting quite so anxious.

Just as our galaxy and the earth began to form itself from the absolute chaos of an explosion in space billions of years ago which includes gas, hydrogen, space dust and more – our world began to organize itself over time into a perfectly synchronized dance we now call life.

It may be a bit messy at times, but from that comes order, continuity, design and more. However, we have to start somewhere. Over a period of time if we continue to show up and put in the work, we can begin to make sense of what is around us and create exactly what we intend in life.

It doesn’t happen over night. Remember; it’s a marathon not a sprint. But all in good time.

So, welcome the chaos. You’ve got this.
