Where’s Our Funny

Life can be difficult and challenging at times, you might want to find your funny.

There’s many ‘serious’ people in this world, make sure you know where to get some funny.

We can’t take ourselves too serious: Find your funny.

Others don’t want to be around negative and depressing people, you might want to find your funny.

There’s nothing more unattractive than a person who can’t laugh at themselves. Find some funny.

Life is better when we smile, laugh and giggle throughout the day. Let’s not be afraid to let our foot off the throttle and find just a wee bit of funny today.

Kinship

As much as we may feel we’re in competition with about everyone we come in contact with, there’s no doubt we could all use some connections with others.

I know I can.

As an adult, it can a bit more difficult to find these bonds, but will admit to some of the strongest relations have been a result of my effort to reach out and risk a little of myself along the way.

We cannot do it alone, and there’s no reason to think we should.

Besides, the universe rewards those who take risks on her behalf.

Yes, that includes in the relationship world as well.

Positive Peeps

There’s no doubt the world is more complicated now than ever. With distractions, war, individuals committing heinous acts, the changing of the planet and on and on.

Why not help ourselves by choosing to be around others who lift us up rather than put us down?

We can. It’s not that difficult. It’s a choice.

Think about a person in our life. Anyone who you know and spend time with. When you do, focus on the feeling it gives us. Is that a good feeling? Do you like the way they make you feel when you’re around them?

No matter how long we’ve known someone, there is no rule that says you have to spend time with them. That’s your choice.

Our time is limited on this earth. Be selective about the people you chose to be with. It can really make a difference.

Yes!

Saying “yes” is much more fun than saying “no.”

Okay, I get it: In order to stay focused and accomplish what we want to do, we must keep our eye on the ball and cut out distractions. Much of that can be done, by saying “no.” By simplifying our lives and our schedules by cutting out distractions that are superfluous to our intentions.

Should I take on more responsibilities at my work? Should I be on that advisory board? Should I add more activities into my schedule?

But, maybe we can create some time in our day for some “yes.”

Should I surprise my wife/daughter/son/friend and meet them for lunch today? Maybe I can cut out of work just a bit early today to go watch my son’s basketball practice? How about instead of having lunch at the office, I can pick something up and go visit my a relative/friend during my lunch hour?

Yes! Why not!?

Saying “yes” is fun!

Let’s not forget that.

The Few Not The Many

I really like the idea of simplifying as opposed to making our schedules more complicated. The act of taking away rather than adding to.

I like the idea of doing 1 thing really well instead of doing 1,000 things mediocre.

There’s something about going to a restaurant that has very few items on their menu, but knowing the ones that are there are made exquisitely.

More is not necessarily better.

Nor is bigger.

There is traction in simplicity.

There is direction as well.

This makes sense to me. This fires me up.

Let’s keep it simple.
