I’m the first to call myself out when it comes to not setting goals nearly enough. And not just setting them, but writing them out as short, mid and long-term goals.
Here’s why: The act of thinking it through and writing them out is an exercise in clarification itself. Getting clear on what is important to you, what you’re passionate about and where you intend to end up in 1-3 months, 6 months to 1 year and in 5-10 years can only benefit your process.
I’ve heard if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. I’m not sure about that, but I do know the chances of me remaining on task through the week increase greatly when I’ve gone through what’s important to me on Sunday morning for the upcoming week when I have time to Rest, Reflect and Rejuvenate.
